Analysts hail war crimes verdict against Blair, Bush

ANALYSTS have hailed the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission verdict that found George W Bush and Tony Blair guilty of crimes against peace, crimes against humanity and genocide as a result of their roles in the Iraq War.
The tribunal consists of five judges with judicial and academic backgrounds.
The tribunal called for the reform of the International Criminal Court, saying it was pursuing Western interests.
Former United States vice president Dick Cheney in August said he feared being tried by the ICC for crimes against humanity.

BRITAIN, which has publicly said it will not give aid to governments that do not recognise gay rights, yesterday defended homosexuality as a “modern” trend.
British Ambassador to Zimbabwe Ms Deborah Bronnert described the practice as “modern”.
Prime Minister David Cameron’s declaration that London will not help governments that do not support gay rights has been viewed as Whitehall’s way to smuggle homosexuality into African and other developing countries that depend on aid.
This is despite widespread condemnation of gay relations, which are alien to African culture and an abomination.

Female rape suspects demand early trial

JANUARY 26 next year has been set as the trial date for the three women accused of sexually attacking hitchhikers in search of semen.
Sisters Sophie (26) and Netsai Nhokwara (24), Rosemary Chakwizira (28) and their male counterpart Thulani Ngwenya (24) are on US$300 bail each.
Prosecutor Mr Tapiwa Kasema told the court that the quartet’s trial date had been set for January 26 next year and requested that they be remanded to that date.
Mr Dumisani Mthombeni, Mr Charles Nyika and Mr Frank Hwenhira appeared for the quartet and unsuccessfully applied to have the case deferred to an earlier date on the basis that January 26 was far away.
