MATABELELAND South farmers are facing an imminent drought as most of them have drastically reduced the hectarage under crops due to the late rains.
Most of the seven administrative districts in the province require between 400 and 500mm of rain for a successful farming season but indications are that they will receive far less this season.
The districts are Beitbridge, Bulilima, Gwanda, Insiza, Matobo, Mangwe and Umzingwane.

THE Labour Court should be restructured to separate cases in terms of the degree of their gravity, Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku has said.
He called for the creation of separate Labour Courts modelled along other courts such as magistrates’ courts, dealing with less serious claims while the High Court deals with more serious ones.

Venezuela President Hugo Chavez is making progress as he recovers from cancer surgery in Cuba, his vice president said after returning from a trip to Havana to visit the Venezuelan leader.

The play, which premiered last year, explores the water crisis bedevilling the city and how the problem has remained unsolved over the last 100 years. It centres on three main characters, Khaya, Bafana and Rush who highlight some of the embarrassing trials and tribulations of not having water. It questions how everyday tasks like bathing, answering nature’s call, or driving are complicated by an erratic supply of the precious liquid. The play also explores how the
