42 cases of typhoid recorded in Mbare

Harare City has recorded 42 cases of typhoid following a week of intermittent water supplies in Mbare, a city official has said.
Health services director Dr Prosper Chonzi said the cases were recorded during the week ending March 3 when taps in the area ran dry.

Cancer cases surge

CASES of people diagnosed with cancer have doubled since 2008 with over 4 000 cases recorded in 2010, a recent annual report by the Zimbabwe Cancer Registry has revealed.
According to the report, in 2010 alone 4 520 people were diagnosed of cancer up from 3 519 the previous year and 2 718 in 2008.
