DeMbare reject Gamecocks offer
A PROTRACTED battle is looming between Dynamos and Premiership football rivals Chicken Inn over midfielder Valentine Kadonzvo after the Glamour Boys rejected the Gamecocks’ offer to regularise the player’s move. The Harare giants — who claim that they were tricked into releasing the player last month — are demanding $8 000 from their Premiership rivals.

Taxman rolls up sleeves

Massive fraud rocks Amnesty International
An audit has unearthed serious fraud and financial mismanagement involving millions of dollars at Amnesty International (AI) Zimbabwe. AI, an international human rights organisation that has been part of a phalanx of anti-establishment non-governmental organisations (NGOs), joins a lengthening list of Western NGOs that have lost money to local activists that purport to fight for civil and political rights in the country.

Chamisa makes bizarre power-sharing demand
MDC-Alliance leader Mr Nelson Chamisa yesterday threatened mass action and to “shutdown” Harare if President Mnangagwa does not agree to a power-sharing arrangement. Mr Chamisa is calling for a bizarre arrangement where he will be given two years to rule the country on a rotational basis.
ZRP recruitment policy reviewed
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) on Friday said its recruitment policy had been amended with immediate effect with potential recruits now required to be aged between 18 and 22. The potential police recruits should also hold a minimum of five Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics, English Language and Science attained in not more than two sittings.
NOIC to upgrade Feruka pipeline
The National Oil and Infrastructure Company (NOIC) intends to start work on upgrading the Feruka Oil Pipeline in the second half of this year to increase fuel transportation capacity into the country.
