Art market that has stood test of time

An art market provides a great platform for all-and-sundry raring to be well-versed in culture. One of Zimbabwe’s struggles is the cementing of cultural aspects in the face of strong forces of cultural-alienation that has inundated the African social-fabric, leaving a few resilient communities well hinged on their respective cultural details.

Staying away from FaceApp. . . so your data is secure? Too late

He had jokes, he could dance and above all left us all happy. ( I could not help but envy his wife — such a happy home) What was most remarkable was the ease with which he belted a joke that fitted with any particular situation during the ceremony. Though he is obviously what we call a “pro” at his work, I could not help but wonder how much time and dedication he has invested in becoming what he is today.

Stabilising Zim dollar through manufacturing

After the banning of the use of the basket of foreign currencies through Statutory Instrument SI 142 there is now talk of how to increase the amounts of foreign currency revenues from exports. According to those experts who are talking of this need, the idea is to stabilise the newly introduced Zimbabwe dollar through the accumulation of adequate foreign reserves, the US dollar being the implied currency making up the bulk of these reserves. The assumption behind this thinking is that our currency needs the US dollar to stabilise it.
