A HUNGRY WOMAN IS AN ANGRY WOMAN!

THE world trembles when it hears how hell lacks the fury of a scorned woman. Entire nations quiver like lizards when they hear how angry a hungry man is. But after reading this tale of the wrath of a woman denied bread, people may decide a scorned lass and hungry dude are actually less scary.

A 32-year-old woman from Pumula North, Bulawayo, allegedly sent patrons at a beer garden scrambling for cover when she stabbed her boyfriend three times on the head with a broken beer bottle, all because he failed to buy bread for their children.

The Amazon, Priscilla Sibanda, appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Jeconia Prince Ncube charged with physical abuse. She was remanded in custody to 19 November.

Prosecutor Tafara Dzimbanhete, told the court that on 9 November around 4pm, the boyfriend, Bekithemba Ndlovu (40), was enjoying a cold one with friends at a local beer garden when Cyclone Priscilla erupted.
Sibanda stormed in and demanded to know why there was no bread at home. When Ndlovu failed to provide a satisfying answer, she allegedly smashed an empty bottle and gave him a “three-slice combo” to the head.

Witnesses say the bottle attack caused chaos, with patrons ducking for cover as beer and blood mixed on the floor. Police were called, and Sibanda was promptly arrested.

Meanwhile, in another domestic disaster, a 52-year-old man from New Magwegwe decided to take the phrase “hit a brick wall” a little too literally.

The accused, Mthabisi Ndlovu, appeared before the same magistrate after he allegedly struck his wife, Cynthia Ndlovu, three times on the forehead with a brick during an argument near Ntshamathe Primary School on 9 November.

The victim sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police later arrested the hot-headed husband, who was remanded in custody to 20 November.

It seems in Bulawayo’s suburbs, when love runs out, logic follows right behind.
