IT’S news when a man bites a dog . . .
So imagine the headlines when a woman forces herself on a boy.

A 20-year-old sex-starved woman has been slapped with a heavy 15-year jail term after the Kwekwe Magistrates’ Court convicted her of aggravated indecent assault.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) the incident happened on 14 January 2026 at around 2000 hours.

The court heard that the woman, who was not related to the complainant, was watching pornographic videos on her phone with the child when things quickly escalated from movie night to madness.

After the explicit viewing session, the woman allegedly undressed herself and instructed the boy to also remove his clothes.

According to the NPAZ said the offender “proceeded to have sexual intercourse with the boy,” leading to her arrest and eventual conviction.

The matter only came to light after the embarrassed boy confided in his mother, who wasted no time in reporting the case to the police.

Consent is king, the law is very clear on that. Whether you are male or female, forcing yourself on someone is a crime. Besides, in Zimbabwe, anyone below the age of 18 is deemed incapable of consenting to sex.

The NPAZ made it clear they are not playing games when it comes to bedroom bandits.
“The NPAZ remains committed to ensuring that all perpetrators of sexual crimes are apprehended and face the full wrath of the law,” said the prosecuting authority.

Legal experts say the case sends a strong message that sexual offences are not a one-way street.
“Society often laughs when men say they were forced, but the law does not laugh,” said a lawyer who declined to be named for professional reasons.

The 15 year sentence is a loud warning that the courts will treat such offences seriously regardless of gender.
In Zimbabwean courts, there are no double standards between skirts and trousers.

When it comes to consent, no means no. Whether it is whispered by a woman or mumbled by a man.
