National carrier Air Zimbabwe is set to participate at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, as it takes its voice to the global aviation and tourism stage.

Serving as the world’s most influential travel and tourism event for almost five decades, this year’s show is set to build on last year’s record‑breaking performance, with several new features and standout experiences introduced across the show floor.

Taking place at Excel London from November 3 to 5, 2026, WTM London 2026 will once again act as the premier global meeting place for travel industry professionals, stakeholders and decision‑makers, drawn by an enhanced conference programme, an expanded schedule of networking events and unrivalled business opportunities.

Air Zimbabwe chief executive officer, Mr Edmund Makona, is set to participate as a speaker at WTM, contributing to an important industry conversation titled: “Connected Infrastructure – Can Aviation Growth and Destination Strategy Align?”

In a statement, Air Zimbabwe said: “The discussion will explore the relationship between aviation connectivity, infrastructure development and destination strategies in unlocking tourism growth and strengthening global travel markets.

“For Air Zimbabwe, this conversation resonates strongly with the airline’s role as a strategic enabler of Zimbabwe’s tourism, trade and investment ambitions, connecting the country to regional and international markets.”

As the national airline continues to expand its connectivity, including the resumption of direct flights between Harare and London after a 14-year hiatus, this engagement provides an opportunity to share perspectives on the role of aviation in driving destination growth and economic opportunities.

The airline’s Airbus A330-300 operates three weekly flights from the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport to London Gatwick, departing Harare on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with return flights operating on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Air Zimbabwe is also planning to expand its domestic network while pursuing additional international routes, including Dubai, Beijing and Guangzhou.
