ALL EYES ON LYSHANDA

MISS Universe Zimbabwe Lyshanda Moyas has quickly become one of the most talked-about contestants here in Thailand.

And, it’s not by accident.

Behind the beauty, the dazzling smile and the stunning looks is a young woman who has walked a long, disciplined journey shaped by vision, determination and sheer courage.

Long before the crown, the 26-year-old model was the quiet dreamer who admired runways from magazine pages and TV screens.

Growing up, she was the girl who practised poses in front of the mirror, rehearsed her walk in empty hallways and treated every school event like a mini-fashion show.

She laughs now when she recalls those early days.

“I always knew modelling was my calling. Even before I had the courage to audition, I could feel it in my spirit,” she said.

“I wanted to represent Zimbabwe one day — that dream never left me.”

Her early modelling gigs were humble — local shoots, small shows, and community pageants.

But those stages built her confidence.

Industry insiders quickly recognised her discipline, she arrived early, rehearsed longer, and carried herself like someone who understood her future was bigger than the moment.

That relentless improvement opened doors and eventually, Zimbabwe met the queen destined to hold its Miss Universe sash.

“Becoming Miss Universe Zimbabwe felt like a confirmation that everything I worked for mattered,” she said.

“It wasn’t just about beauty; it was about purpose.”

And purpose is exactly what fuels Lyshanda’s SDG project, centred on empowering youths through education and sustainable development.

At a time when pageantry is evolving beyond looks, she is part of the new generation of queens redefining impact.

“Young people deserve opportunities that help them rise,” she said.

“My SDG work is about helping communities build themselves. If we lift the youth, we lift the entire nation.”

Lyshanda has shifted gears into high-performance mode and fans can feel it.

She is bringing her A-game, showing up polished, prepared and impossible to overlook. Whether at rehearsals or national events, she stands out for her laser focus and her ability to connect with others.

Contestants from various countries have openly admired her grace and posture.

She has become part of a tight sisterhood forming behind the scenes – one built on laughter, shared nerves, and cheerleading before major rounds.

“The girls here are like sisters,” she said. “We lift each other up. You feel the love, the support, the unity. It’s beautiful.”

But it’s on social media where Lyshanda’s star is exploding.

On global Miss Universe fan pages, accounts from Asia to Latin America are calling her a standout.

Her photos go viral within minutes, her walk videos draw thousands of comments, and international fans have already placed her in their early “Top 10 favourites.”

The reason?

Her stunning, camera-magnet features.

Lyshanda is as photogenic as they come.

Her high cheekbones, soft-but-sharp gaze, rich skin tone and elegant jawline create a look that photographers adore.
