All set for Hwabaraty’s 6th album launch

Multi-award-winning contemporary musician Hwabaraty is set to launch his sixth album, Amandla, at Sdudla Beer Garden in Njube suburb on September 21.

The 12-track album features collaborations with renowned artistes including South Africa’s Mqobi Yazo, Udonsi LwabaPostoli, Sisa Senkosi, Rosalie, and Fish F Ndaramu.

With Amandla, Hwabaraty celebrates resilience, cultural pride, love, unity, and identity, urging listeners to stay true to their roots while facing today’s challenges.

The launch event promises to be a cultural extravaganza, with performances from Umkhathi Theatre Works, Iyasa, Mzistozz Mfanafuthi, Bolamba Cultural Birds, Madlela Sikhobokhobo, Fish F Ndaramu, Sisasenkosi, and Udonsi LwabaPostoli.

Hwabaraty said hosting the launch in Njube is a symbolic way of giving back to the community that shaped him.
“Njube is my home and foundation. Launching here is my way of honouring the community that raised me, while showing young people that greatness can emerge from the township and reach the global stage.
“This album is a true reflection of my cultural lifestyle. It blends traditional Southern African rhythms with modern sounds, representing both struggle and triumph, spirituality and celebration,” he said.

Hwabaraty’s impressive discography already includes Ekas’Lam, Woza Nhlanhla, Isilwane, Umqakezeleni, and Jelimana. With Amandla, he continues to cement his reputation as one of Zimbabwe’s most dynamic and culturally rooted musicians.
