ALL SET FOR VIC FALLS FOOD AND WINE FEST

ORGANISERS of the Victoria Falls Food and Wine Festival have said the stage is set for a spectacular inaugural edition that promises a grand celebration of food, wine, fashion, and music.

The festival, set to run from Thursday to Sunday 1 in the resort city, will take place at Baobab Primary School, transforming the serene location into a vibrant hub of culinary flair and artistic excellence.

Festival co-organiser, Patrick Musonza, is confident in the preparations, stating that it’s now all systems go for what is set to be a landmark tourism and lifestyle event.

“We’re ready to bring a memorable event to Victoria Falls as we promote domestic and international tourism. The festival is something not to miss for anything,” said Musonza.

He said attendees will not only indulge in fine dining and curated wines, but also enjoy insights from industry leaders.

Among the guest experts are celebrated sommelier and winemaker Joseph Dhafana, wine distributor Albert Nhau, and executive chef Kimberly Chisiri who are all set to share their expertise with festival guests.

The programme is packed with engaging activities including a trade and business day exhibition; junior chefs cooking competition; professional chefs cook-off; wine tasting and pairing sessions; fashion show and designer showcase; braai master challenge; VIP train experience and boat cruise as well as a live music concert.

Musonza said music will be a central component of the festival’s climax.

Performing live at the music concert will be South African icon PJ Powers, electronic music sensation GoodLuck, Zambian Afro-soul maestro James Sakala, DJ Ash T, DJ Wrangler, the soulful Nizhe De Soul, and the energetic ensemble Band Fusion.
