MODEL Clarice Muchongwe believes she will be a big star, on the international stage, by the time she hits her teenage years.
The nine-year-old, who is based in Kadoma, celebrated Independence Day in style after winning the ‘Miss Born A Star Zimbabwe Junior Pre-teen Queen title’ in Mutare on Saturday.
Her mentor, former Miss Kadoma Tariro Harinangoni, said Clarice has always cared about how she looks and how she dresses.
“She contested at the Miss Bluedowns Primary 2025, where she scooped the Junior Queen title.
“From there, she started her journey with Vathym Pageants Academy.
“On Saturday, 18 April, Clarice defied the odds in Mutare where she won the ‘Miss Born A Star Zimbabwe Jnr Pre-Teen Queen’.
“She is set to represent Zimbabwe at the continental pageant in Lesotho later this year.”
Harinangoni said besides modelling, the nine-year-old was a dancer and was also doing well in her academic studies.
“Clarice is advocating for Girl Child Education and is looking forward to partnerships and collaborations during this journey,” said Harinangoni.
“In five years, Clarice sees herself as a successful model, making moves on the global stage.”
She said Clarice’s pillar of strength in her modelling journey has been her supportive mother.
