Afro Beat and contemporary musician Andy Muridzo will be making an emotional return in Bulawayo, exactly six months after performing in the city, as he will re-unite with a performance with his fans at a local joint on 10 October.

The gig is expected to be a compensatory one, as the Dherira hitmaker’s last appearance in April at the White City stadium, left many disheartened after he performed for a short time.

According to Muridzo, back then, he said he had to show-up and perform a little – in order to stock the energy, as was also performing at the Independence Day gala held at Gokwe-Nembudziya, in Midlands, on the same night.

However, as he returns, he vowed that his fans will have the whole night with him at Palace Hotel, as he is dedicated to making it up to them. He will do so by performing songs from his catalogue including Zvipande, Gara Wavariga, Gweja, Chidhafu Dunda, amongst others.
“I don’t want to focus more on the past, because I have moved on. What I know is that this event is a way of me reconnecting with my fans who made me who I am today.
“I have so much respect for my fans in Bulawayo because they have supported me from day one. And, on this show, I will give my all as I make it up for them. I will deliver my best as I party with my followers the whole night,” said Muridzo.

Hwindi President, who will also be sharing the stage with Muridzo on the night, said he is ecstatic to be coming to the city of Kings.
“Bulawayo is one of the places that challenges me because the crowd is not predictable. This means that on this gig I have to put more effort and make sure that I deliver a classic performance.
“I have performed alongside Andy Muridzo on a number of occasions. His energy is unmatched as he has the capacity to control the crowds while on stage. This also inspires me to do my best. My fans have to come and witness me on stage as I will give them a glimpse of some of my upcoming singles,” said Hwindi President.

After the Bulawayo gig, the duo will travel to Beitbridge, where they will perform at the border town on 11 October.
