ZIMBABWE opponents in group B of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Angola, will play their last warm up match against Mozambique in Portugal on Wednesday afternoon.
Angola will open the AFCON floor against heavyweights Egypt on Monday while the Warriors battle Egypt.
In a statement, the Fédération of Mozambique Football said the friendly will be played behind closed doors in Algarve.
Angola goalkeeper Hugo Marques told Pan-Africa Football that he was excited at the prospect of facing his former Cape Town City team mate Edmison Dove who leads Mozambique’s defence.
He described meeting Mozambique as important ahead of AFCON, saying “Angola wants it more.”
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe are expected in Morocco today for final preparations ahead of the tournament.
Europe-based stars had already travelled directly to the host nation while the other group left Harare on Tuesday.
