ANOTHER DRAW FOR GREEN MACHINE

Sports Reporter

CAPS United need to rediscover the scoring touch which was powering their campaign at the start of the season.

The Green Machine settled for a frustrating goalless draw against FC Platinum in a Castle Lager Premiership match at Rufaro yesterday.

It took them top of the table, one point ahead of Hardrock, whose match against Dynamos was abandoned at Chahwanda on Sunday.

But CAPS United, who did not have coach Takesure Chiragwi on the bench yesterday, must be concerned with the way they are not dropping points.

The Harare giants haven’t won a league match in their last three games, which have all ended in draws.

It means they have dropped six points during that run in which two of those matches have been at Rufaro.

They have only won once in their last five league matches with that victory coming in a 2-1 win over Dynamos in the Harare Derby.

They needed a last-gasp penalty to earn that win, even though their dominance merited the three points, and they can see that the chasing pack is closing in.

Their next match is against Scottland at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

WEEK 13 RESULTS
