The wait is over — the 2025 Gorindemabwe Frontier 100 Most Influential Young Zimbabweans list is out, celebrating a new wave of young leaders, creatives, and innovators making extraordinary impact at home and abroad.
From football stars and entrepreneurs to entertainers, policy makers and media voices, this year’s roll of honour confirms that Zimbabwe’s youth continue to be a force shaping the nation’s story on a global stage. Now in its 13th edition, the prestigious list curated by The Gorindemabwe Frontier recognises outstanding individuals who have broken barriers and pioneered new standards in their industries. Founder Walter Chimene said the 2025 compilation reflects a generation defined by innovation, excellence, and resilience.
“This year’s list draws inspiration from the incredible strides made by young Zimbabweans who have broken barriers locally, regionally, and globally,” said Chimene. “We are humbled to stand as the premier platform globally recognised for shining a spotlight on such remarkable achievements.”
The 2025 list brings together names that have become synonymous with influence — footballer Marshall Munetsi, who continues to inspire through his sporting success and humanitarian work; legislator Honourable Tatenda Mavetera, Minister of ICT, a youth empowerment advocate; and Jah Prayzah, whose music remains a unifying cultural export.
Also featured are digital comic genius Comic Elder, podcast owner DJ Ollah 7, journalist and Zimpapers Group Entertainment Editor Tafadzwa Zimoyo, fintech pioneer Samuelle Dimairho, and financial analyst Percy Gwanyanya, who all ranked in the top 10.
Chimene explained that the selection process is rigorous, involving research, submissions, and a data-based algorithm refined over the years to ensure fairness and meritocracy.
“We work in an ecosystem of researchers, analysts, and organisations who engage with young leaders across sectors. Submissions are reviewed carefully, and the final ranking is determined through our in-house algorithm that rewards impact, consistency, and leadership,” he said.
Beyond the top names, the list captures Zimbabwe’s broad spectrum of excellence. Sports stars like Sikandar Raza, Tanya Muzinda, and Blessing Muzarabani stand shoulder to shoulder with cultural icons such as Feli Nandi, Holy 10, Nutty O, and Madam Boss. Innovators like Maud Chifamba and Tinevimbo Makumbe reflect the academic and scientific brilliance thriving among the country’s youth.
“This list is more than a celebration – it is a mirror of Zimbabwe’s youthful energy,” added Chimene. “Our nation’s progress rests on the shoulders of its dreamers, builders, and disruptors who continue to push boundaries.”
Indeed, the Gorindemabwe Frontier 2025 List is not just a recognition of individual brilliance – it is a statement of national pride, proving that Zimbabwe’s young generation is ready to lead, inspire, and elevate the country’s global profile.
