ROBBERS have struck a Sai Mart Supermarket shop in Nkulumane 12 suburb, Bulawayo and allegedly got away with US$2 000 after firing a single shot inside the shop.

According to one of the retail shops’ managers, the robbers, believed to have been three, pounced around midmorning, and one of them fired a single shot in the air while another stood guard at the main entrance.

“They went away with just over US$2 000. None of the employees was injured during the robbery,” said the manager.

Bulawayo police spokesperson, Inspector Nomalanga Msebele said detectives from the homicide section are attending the scene.
