A number of local artists are coming together to offer support and assistance to Trevor Dongo after a fire destroyed property at his city apartment at the weekend.
Trevor Dongo, who has even contemplated suicide over social media abuse, is currently battling to recover from the incident.
Some reported that the fire was due to a physical altercation between Trevor Dongo’s two lovers, resulting in one of the women lighting up his bed while the other allegedly escaped naked.
According to a social media post attributed to him, Trevor D feels the whole issue was blown out of proportion adding that he got injured as he tried to recover his clothes, furniture, studio equipment, and company documents.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed that the musician and his girlfriend sustained minor burns and were rushed to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for medical attention.
Now, Trevor’s friends and fellow musicians, including Mudiwa Hood, Willis Wataffi, Stunner, and Ex Q, among others, have joined hands to lend him a hand.
Mudiwa Hood and his sister, popularly known as Mahwindo, have pledged to pay for a one-bedroomed flat fully furnished where the musician is expected to move in.
“I can’t reach Trevor Dongo. Please tell him we are willing (two more people) to help him back on his feet now. A one-bedroom apartment with paid furniture he will choose.
“He can contact me or Mahwindo,” wrote Mudiwa on his Facebook.

Willis Wataffi wrote; “Trevor Dongo, Chikonan’ombe, I hope I am not late after reading this, I’m not okay. Mari inoshandwa imwe.
“Pfungwa idzo dzawafunga, remember our talk? It’s not worth it because the enemy is smiling.
“Tried all your numbers, but I know why they are off, lets talk. You know I would never come pa social media but I can’t find you.
“Call me munin’ina tidzimurane ndebvu, we care,” he said.

Rapper, Stunner has offered to get Trevor’s studio up and running by Wednesday.
“I helped you start up our career and this won’t be the end of it bro. As your big brother and Tazoita Cash Records, I pledge to get your studio up and running again this week by Wednesday #WeAreOne,” said Stunner.
Ex Q also offered Trevor Dongo some words of encouragement.
“Trevor Dongo will rise again, stay strong, brother,” he said.
