“Sometimes, my daughter wants to play in dangerous areas like near the plugs or with something sharp like a fork. When I take those things away, she screams, cries and gets frustrated because she really wants them. But from where I stand, I know those things could hurt her,” he said.

“And it hit me, how many times has God done the same for us? How many times has He closed certain doors, taken things, or distanced us from people or removed us from environments we thought we needed because He loves us and knows what’s really good for us?” questioned Asaph.
The rapper’s thoughts highlight a common truth about faith, people often struggle when things don’t go their way. They may cry, pray or express frustration, but as Asaph reminds people, God sees the bigger picture.
“We cry, we pray, we complain, but He sees higher than we do. He knows what could harm us. I just hope we can get to a place where we trust God through the disappointments and believe that when He says ‘no’, it’s because He’s got something better for us,” he said.
