BABA Harare has been described as one of the best artists to emerge from Zimbabwe by a South Africa-based promoter.
The Jiti musician is set to return to South Africa this weekend with two high-profile gigs south of the Limpopo.
The shows are the first in this country for the artist since he dropped his “King David” gospel title.
He is currently riding high with ‘‘Tsa Tsa Tsa’’, a song that has taken social media by storm, especially on TikTok.
This is just but one of his hits off his long playlist.
The first gig will be at Amix Lounge in Kempton Park tomorrow night, courtesy of BH Entertainment and Mbare Boys.
“It is an honour to be hosting one of the best artists ever to emerge from Zimbabwe in Baba Harare,” said Fadiga Chiringa, on behalf of the organisers.
“We have taken long to prepare for this show and we promise fans will have value for money.
“We have made sure that security is tight and, indeed, we hope to shutdown Kempton Park – which is the theme for the show.”
The event organisers are not new in the game as they have hosted similarly big events involving artists like Freeman, Killer T, Alick Macheso among many others.
A line up of local DJs will warm up the stage among them DJ Purple Skunk, DJ Obvious and DJ Warrior.
Top MCees T Boss and Rico Myers will take turns on the mic.
Pre-sale tickets are available on Computicket for R150 general access but will increase when one of paying at the gate.
Baba Harare’s next gig will be the following day in Cape Town at Parow Civic Centre.
