BEAUTY IS A CURRENCY

BEAUTY is a currency, how you present yourself may impact how people may treat you or relate to you.

A clean, well-dressed individual is likely to be trusted as opposed to an individual who is shabbily dressed.

In psychology, there is what is called the halo effect, we are consciously or subconsciously judged because of how we present ourselves physically.

Be that as it may, we need to look good while not risking or losing our health in the process.  A few cosmetic products have caused some life-threatening diseases and we need to be aware of the risks in this world where the markets are full with products from a lot of unknown sources.

LIPSTICK/LIPGLOSS

Lipstick can instantly make a face look more bright, alive and pretty, especially when you wear the right colour for your skin tone. It is one of the most used cosmetic beauty products, a product that is commonly used by make-up beginners or regular make-up users.

This product can easily be swallowed as it is a product for and on the lips.

Beware of the quality of lipstick that you are putting on as some products may put a person at risk of diseases like stomach cancer, skin irritation and other health problems.

Avoid fake, counterfeit products or unauthorised lipstick brands for health reasons.

FOUNDATION AND FACE POWDER

Foundation and face powder are also other widely used cosmetic products. A product that helps with creating an even facial skin tone and creating a polished look. The quality products tend to be more on the expensive side to some and hence the market is filled with counterfeit and fake products from different sources.

Be careful not to risk your health by continuously using fake or unregistered products just because they are affordable. Do your research and apply products on your skin that will not cause harm tomorrow.

NAILS

Let’s talk about nails, a trend that has become highly common in the past decade. Beautifully done nails can complete a look, making you look fresh, clean and stylish. While getting your nails done is an important fashion tool, beware of using unhealthy nail polish or “nail polish cleaner” that is not from a trusted source.

Assess the brand or source of these products, approved or certified products are less risky. It is advisable to have some natural (naked nail days) for your nails to let them breathe and recover.

EYE COSMETIC PRODUCTS

The most commonly used eye cosmetic products are the eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer. Eye make-up is the most important makeover tool, it is a must have by most make-up lovers and fashionistas. However an eye is a very sensitive part of the body, and there is need to be careful of the products we put on our eyes as this may cause eye health problems like irritation ,infections and  visual problems.

It is wise to use products from authorised sources and not from unknown sources or fake or counterfeit products. Look beautiful, upgrade yourself and your look but watch your health in the process.
