SHE may not have brought home the Miss Supranational crown to Zimbabwe but Nicole Nyawera has returned home a national heroine.
From Harare to Bulawayo, Mutare to Victoria Falls, Zimbabweans flooded social media with messages of love after the beauty queen became one of the world’s Top 24 contestants at the Miss Supranational pageant held in Poland.
For a contestant making her international pageant debut, many believe Nicole achieved what few expected, proving Zimbabwe has what it takes to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the world’s beauty powerhouses. The crown eventually went to the Philippines’ Katrina Llegado, while Brazil, the Czech Republic, France and Nigeria completed the Top Five.
