Black Coffee dazzles fans with orchestral show at Nîmes amphitheatre

Grammy award-winning producer Black Coffee continues to showcase his global dominance, filling up various venues across the globe.

Not long after delivering a historic sold-out performance in Mexico, with an estimated 20,000 fans gathering near the world-famous Teotihuacán Pyramids, Black Coffee has done it again.

Taking to Instagram, the DJ, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo, reflected on his most recent show at one of France’s most iconic venues, the Arènes de Nîmes.

“Me and a few friends had a little party at a Roman amphitheater in Nimes. This one will forever remain engraved in my heart. Nimes, you showed up,” he wrote.

Black Coffee captivated an estimated 14,000 fortunate fans with a remarkable orchestral show at the Arènes de Nîmes, a Roman coliseum dating back 2,000 years. The performance was a 360-degree, live orchestral spectacle, seamlessly fusing Afro-house music with classical arrangements.

The concert at the Arènes de Nîmes was historic for several reasons: it was Black Coffee’s first public concert in France in three years, his debut orchestral performance in Europe, and the first-ever Afro-house show to be held at the venue.

Black Coffee was joined on stage by his fellow collaborators, such as Msaki and Monique Bingham, at the sold-out event. Fans shared their excitement over the performance on Black Coffee’s Instagram post.

From Madison Square Garden, Coachella, Burning Man, and Tomorrowland, Black Coffee shows no signs of slowing down but continued dominance of global venues and festivals. He is headed to the iconic London venue O2 Arena, which has a capacity of 20 000 for a performance on May 22. — IOL
