Broos Hails Dependable Ndamane

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has once again underlined his faith in Khulumani Ndamane, praising the TS Galaxy defender for his consistency and reliability in national team colours.

Ndamane, who continues to attract strong interest amid links with a possible move to Mamelodi Sundowns, delivered another assured performance during Bafana Bafana’s international friendly against Ghana on Tuesday.

Speaking after the match, the Belgian coach made it clear that the former Kaizer Chiefs development player has done little wrong whenever called upon, whether starting or coming off the bench.

“First of all, it’s already a fantastic thing for him that he can go with Bafana-Bafana to AFCON. Secondly, every game that Khululmani played, I was satisfied. Also today, also the previous games that he played. So I’m very happy with him,” Broos said.

The coach went on to emphasise the importance of squad depth, suggesting that Ndamane’s presence gives him peace of mind, particularly when rotation or unforeseen changes are required.

“I know that if there’s something happening behind and he doesn’t play, that I can always count on him. And he proved again today that he deserves to be with us. So that is for me, that makes me happy, those things,” he added.
