With just days to go, preparations for the highly-anticipated roast of Mayor Councillor David Coltart are entering the final stages, promising a night of entertainment and lively debate.
When the event taking place in Bulawayo on April 11 was first announced, discussions erupted online over what topics the mayor should be roasted on, sparking widespread curiosity and anticipation. Audiences are now eager to see how the panelists will tackle the challenge.
Speaking to Ntando Van Moyo, the event organiser, he assured that everything is on track.
“Preparations are going well. The panelists are busy with rehearsals, and the mayor is excited and raring to go. That’s a positive sign for having such a high-profile guest fully engaged,” he said.
Moyo added that the roast will tackle pressing and relatable topics, including service delivery, leadership, and council-related matters, ensuring a humorous yet relevant experience for attendees.
On the panel will be Um’Africakazi, Philani A Nyoni, Ricky, Mzoe7, Tanya Alex, Cllr Dumisani Netha, Honourable DC Bajila, and Doug Bramsen.
