CASTLE CORNER CREW IN SRI LANKA

Sports Reporter

THE Chevrons get their ICC T20 World Cup campaign in Sri Lanka today when they take on a tricky Oman.

The Zimbabweans, who are returning to this stage of the game, will not be short of support either.

Some members of the Castle Corner fan club have made the trip to Sri Lanka to support the Chevrons. The same fans wanted to travel to England to support the Chevrons on their return to English soil last year.

However, many of them ran into problems in their bid to secure visas to enter the UK and provide support for the team.

Of course, the Chevrons were not short of support in England where they played a one-off Test at Trent Bridge.

Hundreds of Zimbabweans who are resident in the UK were at Trent Bridge and turned it into a theatre of song and dance as they threw their support behind their team.

Sri Lanka would be different because there are not many Zimbabweans who are resident there.

The members of the Castle Corner believe their voices will make a difference from the stands when the party begins today.
