There was chaos at the funeral of a minor, who died on Wednesday after he was reportedly strangled and slammed against the wall by her mother’s jilted lover, in Chitungwiza yesterday.
One of the neighbours, Wadzanai Choto caused a scene at the funeral as she confronted the mother, Nomsa Sengwe, accusing her of leaving children unattended overnight while allegedly bedding her new lover.
She demanded the arrest of Nomsa together with her jilted lover Simbarashe Ashton Machipisa, who was nabbed on Wednesday.
“Nomsa should also be arrested for leaving her children unattended while spending the night at her new lover.
“We want justice to be carried. Also she kept going back to Simba wanting money and this is what caused the whole issue and as such she should be arrested for neglecting the children,” Wadzanai was heard shouting on top of her voice distracting mourners.
Wadzanai threatened some mourners with unspecified action after they challenged her over her utterances.
Meanwhile, Simbarashe, popularly known as Mabhutsu, was yesterday taken back to the murder scene by police detectives for indications ahead of his court appearance expected today.
