ZIMBABWEAN sprint star Makanakaishe Charamba returns to action this weekend when he lines up against reigning world champion Letsile Tebogo in a world-class men’s 200m field at the 51st Prefontaine Classic.

The prestigious meet will be staged at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon, United States, on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.

The men’s 200m promises to be one of the highlights of the meeting, with Charamba facing a strong field that includes Tebogo, Americans Sam Blaskowski, Brendon Hicklin, Courtney Lindsey and Tate Taylor.

Adrian Kerr and Bryan Levell will represent Jamaica, while Zharnel Hughes completes the star-studded lineup.

Charamba heads into the meeting in impressive form after finishing second at the Doha Diamond League on June 19. The Zimbabwean clocked 19.88 seconds to equal his personal best, underlining his place among the world’s leading 200m sprinters as he prepares for another major test in Eugene.
