AFRO dancehall scene is buzzing with the release of a new song, ‘Adhakwa’, a collaboration between Chisafa and seasoned artist Ndunge Yut.
The song, produced by Shettoh, is a timely warning to fans about the dangers of excessive drinking during the festive season.
In an interview, Chisafa addresed the importance of responsible drinking.
The young artist also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Ndunge Yut, citing his experience in the industry as a major boost to his career.
“As much as people celebrate the festive season with alcohol, they need to take it with caution as it can put their lives in danger.
“People need to understand that beer has its own pros and cons and if you take it excessively you can lose control and start behaving erratically.
“We want to spread a message of responsible drinking so that we finish the year together without anyone losing their lives or in a hospital bed.
“Working with Ndunge is an elevation in my career.
“He has more experience in the industry, and I’m honoured to share the mic with him,” Chisafa said.
He added: “I am expecting to release the visuals of this single early December, for now I just want people to dance as they prepare to see my creativity on the visual side of things.
“I’m also working on an album which I’m hoping to release early next year and my fans should anticipate a lot of collaborations as I am fusing afro pop and dancehall.
“Mixing two genres is quite experimental and challenging and it comes with own rules so as an artist I have to be extra careful so that I don’t lose my relevance and sense of creativity.”
