Chitima Band, DNA Band qualify for Chibuku Road to Fame national finals

Harare’s Chitima Band and Mashonaland Central’s DNA Band have booked their places in the Chibuku Road to Fame national finals, set for October 4 at Gwanzura Stadium in Highfields, Harare.

The two groups will join eight other provincial winners in battling for the prestigious title, with the event expected to attract thousands of music lovers. This year’s contest promises a diverse showcase of talent, bringing together rising stars from across the country.

The full line-up includes Mnenga Band (Manicaland), Afro Pulse (Masvingo), Simuniziva (Matabeleland North), Core Vibes (Midlands), All in One (Mashonaland West), Dab Band (Bulawayo), Bolamba Culture Birds (Matabeleland South), and Jungle Foxes (Mashonaland East).

Now in its 22nd edition, the Chibuku Road to Fame competition continues to serve as the country’s biggest grassroots music platform, unearthing hidden talent and giving emerging groups the chance to break into the mainstream music industry.

The grand finale will not only determine this year’s winner but also celebrate Zimbabwe’s rich cultural diversity, with each band bringing a unique sound and style to the stage. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
