TWENTY-TWO players have been ruled out of the 2013 Castle Lager Premiership Soccer Star of the Year selection.
The players have picked up a minimum of six yellow cards and at least two red cards each, hence falling out in terms of the selection criteria.
Selection takes place in the capital tomorrow morning where a panel of experts made up of coaches from the 16 Premier Soccer League clubs and representatives from various media houses will be involved.

How Mine’s Khumbulani Banda, besides being the only player from the Mbada Diamonds Cup finalists on the list, he is also the league’s most undisciplined player with a massive 11 yellow cards, followed by Tripple B’s Aleck Marime who received 10 yellow cards.

Some of the notable players on the list include Highlanders’ Bruce Kangwa, Dynamos’ Ocean Mushure and Harare City’s Crispen Dickson who all have six yellow cards. Dickson received his sixth card in their last home game against Highlanders on Sunday.
Dynamos’ duo of Murape Murape and Stephen Alimenda are also in the list.

Motor Action’s Passmore Benard is the only player in the league who received two red cards while Hwange’s Isaac Masame, Chicken Inn’s duo of Danny Phiri and Thabani Goredema, Arnold Chiveya of Caps United, Themba Ndlovu of Buffaloes and Dickson of Harare City each received a single red card but were ruled out because of six yellow cards.
