Hundreds get free medical treatment courtesy of VP Chiwenga’s family

HUNDREDS of people from Filabusi in Insiza District have turned up at Avoca Clinic to access free medical services under a health outreach programme being spearheaded by the family of Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.


Yesterday, the programme was rolled out at Singwango Clinic, where hundreds of people benefited from the services.
The elderly also received grocery items, maize seed and clothing under Godlwayo healthcare outreach programme. Persons with disability also received wheelchairs.


Specialists that include gynaecologists, orthopaedics, urologists, physicians, neurologists, general surgeons, and nutritionists, among others, are on the ground to attend to patients.


Patients are also receiving free medicine.
Today, Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi Chiwenga visited Filabusi District Hospital, where patients are receiving free eye treatment.


Hundreds of eye patients have been attended at the hospital with several undergoing eye surgery. Some patients have received spectacles.
She is set to address members of the community who have gathered at Avoca Clinic.
The outreach programme has a medical team of 28 personnel, which includes eight specialists, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians and dieticians among others.
