ABSA Premiership outfit Mpumalanga Black Aces have officially announced the signing of Chicken Inn hitman Tendai Ndoro and former Caps United and Warriors shotstopper Energy Murambadoro.Ndoro, still the leading Castle Lager Premier Soccer League goalscorer with 11 goals in 16 starts, signed a one- year renewable contract while Murambadoro penned a two-year deal.

Ndoro flew out of the country a fortnight ago for trials and was immediately thrown into the fray in a friendly match against SuperSport United. He was so impressive that the Aces’ technical team was left convinced that he was what they needed.

Murambadoro also signed on a free transfer after he was released by Bidvest Wits at the beginning of the season. He has spent the last few weeks with Aces and the technical team have been closely monitoring and working on his fitness.

Murambadoro and Ndoro will team up with fellow countryman and Aces’ captain Method Mwanjali who joined at the start of the 2013/14 campaign.

Murambadoro will have to fight it out for the first choice goalkeeper’s position with veteran shot stopper Calvin Marlin and Bafana Nhlapo – who has been the first choice goalkeeper.

“Tendai Ndoro is a naturally gifted player who can score a lot of goals. He left the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League as the leading goal scorer and that is just proof of what he can do on the field of play. We wish Ndoro the best in his Aces career and hope he will score important goals for us,” Aces’ co-chairman Mario Morfou was quoted saying by the club’s official website.

He said Murambadoro who has been at Aces before, was an experienced campaigner who played consistently in the PSL and will add some depth to the side’s goalkeeping department.

“We hope his experience will give us extra options in the last line of defence,” concluded Morfou.
Aces have submitted both players’ work permits to Home Affairs and will be hoping they will be available for selection against SuperSport United this weekend. — Sports Reporter/mpumalangablackaces.co.za
