GOSPEL musician Tembalami says the Inspired Worship Conference (IWC) is set to empower and equip church creatives with the skills and knowledge needed to elevate their worship experience.

The two-day event will be held on August 8-9 at Celebration Centre.

The conference, now in its second year, aims to bridge the knowledge gap within the Christian community by providing training and resources for worship leaders, pastors, musicians and other creatives.

On the first day, they will have music master classes and the second day they will have a music concert featuring Joyful Praise Choir, Pastor Bonnie, Ezekiel Paul, Minister Michael Mahendere, Everton Mlalazi, Takesure Zamar, Janet Manyowa and Nyasha Mutonhori.

The conference will feature workshops and masterclasses on various topics, including sound, music theory, lighting, stage design, multimedia and video production.

Industry professionals, including renowned musicians and sound engineers, will lead these sessions, sharing their expertise and experience with guests.

In an interview with Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub, Tembalami said this year’s conference promises to be even more impactful, with tailored programmess designed to meet the specific needs of church creatives.

“Some of the industry experts who will be sharing their knowledge and skills at the conference include Michael Mandela, Janet Manuel, and Kamayo Madin.

“These professionals have extensive experience in the music industry and will be teaching various aspects of worship, including songwriting, worship leading, and sound engineering.

“The conference is not just about learning, it’s also about building a community of like-minded individuals who can support and encourage one another.

The organisers have created an online platform where guests can connect, share their experiences and seek advice from one another. This community will provide ongoing support and resources for church creatives, helping them to continue growing and developing their skills.

“The ultimate goal of the Inspired Worship Conference is to take the church community in Zimbabwe to world standards,” he said.

“The Inspired Worship Conference is a call to action for church creatives to come together, learn, and grow.

“It’s an opportunity for worship leaders, pastors, musicians and other creatives to develop their skills and knowledge, and to connect with others who share their passion for worship.

“By attending the conference, church creatives can take the first steps towards creating more dynamic and effective worship experiences that will inspire and uplift their congregations,” he said.

Tembalami said through this conference, participants are enriched with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration needed to elevate their worship experience, all united in the shared mission of glorifying the name of Jesus and strengthening the Church.
