COMPUTER SAYS. . .

MANCHESTER UNITED will clinch a Champions League place this season, according to a supercomputer.

Runaway leaders Arsenal are expected to win their first Premier League title since 2004, according to the latest algorithms.

Mikel Arteta’s side could win it with ease, as one supercomputer predicts a ten-point gap them and second-placed Manchester City.

However, it could go down to the final day to determine the relegation and European qualification spots.

Aceodds‘ supercomputer, BETSiE, tips United to play in the Champions League for the first time in three years by finishing fifth, behind Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

But it will not be plain sailing for the Red Devils, who are expected to lose 12 games and accumulate just 61 points.

That means they will finish just three points ahead of sixth-placed Crystal Palace. But they will win almost half of their remaining league games, with the supercomputer suggesting 13 victories from their remaining 27 matches. Elsewhere, the already-doomed Wolves are expected to drop along with Burnley and Leeds.

Arsenal have been given a 79 per cent chance of becoming champions. City are the next highest on just 12 per cent following their defeat to Newcastle at the weekend.

And Liverpool are expected to make a resurgence and end up third despite the loss to Nottingham Forest leaving them 11th – Sun.
