COURTNEY JONGWE MAKES MISS WORLD TOP 40

COURTNEY Jongwe made it into the top 40 at the Miss World 2025 beauty pageant in Hyderabad, India.

The 23-year-old carried Zimbabwe’s hopes with grace and passion.

Competing against 108 of the world’s most beautiful and talented women, Courtney’s performance earned her a spot among the Top 40 contestants.

Though she narrowly missed advancing to the Top 20, Courtney secured an impressive 10th place on the Miss World Africa leaderboard, showcasing her strength among the continent’s finest.

The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant took place at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad on Saturday. This was the third time that India was hosting the prestigious event after 1996 and 2024.

Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand was crowned Miss World. She also earned the Continental Queen title for Asia.

Ethiopia’s Hasset Dereje Admassu was the first runner-up and took the African continental crown.

Poland’s Maja Klajda finished third and took the Continental Queen title for Europe.

Martinique’s Aurélie Joachim came fourth and took the Continental Queen title for the Americas and Caribbean.

For a month, contestants competed in a variety of challenging fast-track events, including the Multimedia Challenge, Sports Challenge, Talent Showcase, Head-to-Head Challenge and the Top Model Competition. Courtney stood out in several key challenges, reaching the Top 20 in the Multimedia Challenge and the Top 32 in the Sports Challenge.
