Nhimbe Trust has received a US$25 000 grant through the CreativeACTIONs 2 programme of the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust, funded by the European Union Delegation to Zimbabwe, to advance inclusive participation in arts and cultural policy making.
Through this partnership, Nhimbe Trust will implement a three-month project titled “Creative Civil Society for Inclusive Cultural Policy and Rights Advocacy in Zimbabwe.” The project seeks to bring together arts and cultural stakeholders, including government departments, to engage in dialogue on policy formulation and implementation.
Nhimbe Trust Director Josh Nyapimbi said the initiative is designed to strengthen the role of creative civil society in the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS1) framework, ensuring that the voices of artistes, particularly those from marginalised and vulnerable communities, are represented and protected.
