A POLICE cyber-expert has exposed Pattricia Jeke in court and has said a volley of social media insults were sent from her gadgets and platforms.
She is facing charges of allegedly cyberbullying Shingirirai Ziwange by posting insults and falsehoods on her timeline.
The court heard that on February 9, this year, Pattricia Jeke sent a message to the complainant, via Whatsapp, accusing her of posting something about her on Facebook.
Shingirirai denied the claims.
Pattricia Jeke allegedly went on to say that “(hausi kundiziva) and you are under estimating me”.
It is alleged that Pattricia Jeke then allegedly posted on social media that the complainant was having extra marital affairs and was also a witch, among other insults.
Pattricia Jeke is denying the charges and has disowned the Facebook page and WhatsApp platforms.
But the State witness, who is a cyber-expert with the police, Carlington Nyazire, showed that the platforms were indeed Pattricia Jeke’s WhatsApp and Facebook page.
Nyazire told court that his duty, as a cyber-expert, is to examine computers, mobile phones, digital video recorders, external storage devices, and other digital equipment.
He said he received one exhibit from a device with IMEI number 1037 of 2026 iPHONE cellphone IMEI with Econet SIM 359912581043562 card 359912581487934.
Nyazire told magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini that Pattricia Jeke posted videos and messages on her Facebook platform, harassing the complainant.
He told court that he extracted, examined and analysed the video and screen shots, which are part of the exhibit, and they contained cyberbullying content for the period May 24 to June 3 this year.
“The exhibit contained the WhatsApp application installed using Econet number +253783, registered under the username Shingie.
“Standard communication was identified and analysed between this account and number +263783370137, associated with the username PJ Powers.
“The extracted WhatsApp data was organised in a folder titled WhatsApp Communication.
“All exchanges were end-to-end encrypted, with no evidence of hacking detected.
“The communication spanned from 27 June 2025, 10:14:23 to 14 February 2026, 17:48:16.”
He added:
“Picture and video analysis, three images and one video were retrieved.
“The images were confirmed to be screenshots from the Facebook account of user Pattricia Jack, dated 2 June 2026.
“The video was recorded on Facebook Page 2 of 3 and downloaded on 3 June 2026.
“All artifacts were processed and hashed using the Magnet Axiom forensic tool.
“The requested artifacts were found. Evidence integrity was maintained through encryption validation and hashing.
“No signs of manipulation or unauthorised access were detected.
“The findings presented in this report are limited to the artefacts successfully extracted and examined from the device at the time of analysis.”
Pattricia Jeke, represented by Tawanda Machinga, advised the court that she will file an application for discharge.
