ATTENDEES at this year’s edition of the much-anticipated HiNDE Soiree will have a chance to give back to the less fortunate before they party, after organisers, acting alongside partners Bulawayo Exclusive Events, announced that they had launched a donation drive for Bulawayo’s Sandra Jones Centre (SJC).

This year’s edition of HiNDE, which is set to take place tomorrow at Mystique Gardens, will once again be headlined by event founder and international dance music sensation DJ Nitefreak and serial hit-makers Thukuthela and Jazzworx.  Tickets for the show have already sold out, with none expected to be available at the gate.

However, before all the fun, organisers have asked well-wishers to donate to SJC as a way of giving back to the community.

SJC is a safe home for orphans and abandoned babies and children in crisis, providing accommodation, food, education, counseling, family, love, and hope for the future.

“HINDE is calling on all house music lovers to join us in giving back! At this year’s event, we’re collecting clothes, shoes, sanitary supplies, and toiletries for the children at Sandra Jones Center. Donation boxes will be placed on-site, making it easy for patrons to drop off items as they arrive. Every contribution, big or small, will help bring comfort and dignity to a child in need. House music is about unity and love. Let’s bring that same spirit to our community and make a real impact together. Bring something to give. Dance with purpose,” organisers said in a statement.

Named after Nitefreak’s smash hit collaboration with Idd Aziz, HiNDE was founded in 2021 as a way to not only bring house music to the people but to bridge the gap in income due to a lack of sufficient bookings. The event’s first edition was a small affair at a friend’s house in Bulawayo, but sufficient enough to lead to subsequent editions, which saw it growing in leaps and bounds.

Since then, Nitefreak has become a global phenomenon, becoming Zimbabwe’s most-streamed artist and a year-round feature on the lucrative tour circuit.
