Renowned house music producer and DJ, Chymamusique, has been discharged from hospital after a car accident that claimed the life of fellow artist DJ Poizen.
The accident, which sent shock waves through the South African music community, left Chymamusique hospitalised with injuries. Taking to his Facebook page shortly after being released, the DJ shared an emotional update with fans and supporters.
“Discharged from hospital to try recover from home. Thanks for prayers, support & love. Ke leboga bophelo (I’m grateful for this life),” he wrote.
Messages of love and support have continued to pour in for the award-winning DJ as he begins his road to recovery at home. Meanwhile, tributes for DJ Poizen have flooded social media, with friends, fans and fellow artists mourning the loss of the talented spinner.
Chymamusique, whose real name is Collen Ntala, has long been a staple in the South African music scene, known for his soulful sets and hit collaborations.
The cause of the accident, which occurred on the N1 near Polokwane on August 30 and claimed the lives of four others, remains unclear, and funeral arrangements for DJ Poizen have yet to be announced − Times.
