DJ Ollah has added another milestone to his career after earning a nomination in the inaugural Outstanding Podcast category at the 24th edition of the National Arts Merit Awards (Nama).

The introduction of the new category reflects the continued growth of Zimbabwe’s Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs), recognising the expanding influence of digital content creators. Nominees in the Outstanding Podcast category are Zigo Podcast, Pass and Move Podcast, and The Ollah 7 Podcast.

A previous winner of the Nama Outstanding Journalist (Radio) award in 2023, DJ Ollah has built a strong presence in the podcasting space, covering real-time news and a wide range of topical issues.

He credited the nomination to the unwavering support of his followers.
“I feel honoured to be nominated in this year’s edition. It’s proof of hard work and consistency. This is the first time the category has been recognised, and I’m proud to be among the first nominees.
“I’ve created some of the most viral content in Zimbabwe and impacted many lives through our platform, so this recognition means a lot.

“If I win, I’ll dedicate the award to my loyal fans who have supported my journey as a podcaster. They believed in me and gave me hope,” said DJ Ollah. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
