Award winning entertainer, DJ Rimo, is looking forward to another eventful year after ending 2022 on a high.
Born Tinotenda Marimo, the DJ-cum-promoter shared the stage with 18 international acts, including Rick Ross and Major League in 2022.
DJ Rimo, who was a close ally of the late Genius Kadungure, feels he has more to offer in the entertainment circles.
“It took me a long time to get to where I’m now and I am grateful to be recognised as one of the greatest in my field.
“I managed to pull through the challenges posed by Covid-19, performed, hosted a number of top acts and I already have plans for 2023,” said DJ Rimo.
He said he is scheduled to tour the USA and UK from the beginning next month.
“This is an exciting year for me. I have earned a spot to perform at the Victoria Falls Carnival, but before that. I have booked gigs in the USA and UK.
“I’m also performing in Dubai, Poland, Rwanda, Cape Town and Australia,” he said.
To cap his hard work, DJ Rimo was named the “Best Male DJ” at the African Social Entertainment awards held in South Africa in December 2022.
He described the Major League and Musa Keys shows as his best outings in 2022.
Some of the international acts he has shared the stage with last year include Ladipoe, Costa Titch, DJ Tira, Mi Casa, Makhadzi and Caspa Nyovest among others.
