South African comedian Tall A$$ Mo put DJ Tira on blast on Monday, after posting what he claimed were images of the veteran DJ rocking a pair of counterfeit Louis Vuitton sneakers.
What made things worse came next: Tira allegedly reached out privately to beg him to take the posts down, and Tall A$$ Mo shared the receipts. X user @bongyluaziey amplified the drama by posting screenshots of the exchange, revealing a WhatsApp message from Tira that read, “Bro please remove these posts,” sent at 12:41.
A voice call log was also visible, showing a one-minute call placed at 12:30, suggesting Tira first tried to handle it over the phone before resorting to a text.
DJ Tira’s fake sneakers accusation shocks Mzansi For a DJ who built his brand on the Gqom scene over more than two decades and has always been associated with a flashy lifestyle, the idea that he would be caught in fake designer footwear left fans genuinely baffled.
The image overlay on the post read “Malume bhu kodwa,” and an LV authenticity checker appeared to be visible in the background of one of the images – Briefly SA.
