DORCAS MOYO IS ON THE RIGHT PATH

DORCAS Moyo has done well in her musical career.

It’s hard not to appreciate her talent and this has helped her to amass many prestigious awards.

Last weekend, she attracted a big crowd for the launch of her 10th album, “Mugeri Tsvatu”.

She was supported by Alick Macheso, Suluman Chimbetu, Leonard Zhakata, Fungisai Zvakavapano, “Ashton” Nyahora, and many others.

Her ability to host such prominent musicians demonstrates that she is serious about her craft while also enjoying what she does.

She conveyed a powerful message that she is no longer just the ordinary Dorcas Moyo known for performing at church conferences and crusades.

The diva has matured significantly, as evidenced by the demand for her music.

The fact that she can now hold a big album launch with a star-studded line-up is a testament to her passion for her work.

She has proven her doubters wrong, demonstrating that she truly enjoys her job.

Dorcas is living her dream and she simply loves what she does.

Based on the turnout and enthusiasm, she has achieved remarkable success beyond expectations.

She says God’s grace is what has made her successful and she remembers the days when some critics used to say she was too loud or noisy.

However, now, the same voice and music which those critics were dismissing are now touching the hearts of millions of people.

There was a time when she was being bullied on social media but all that has changed and she has now become a household name.

She says she now sings for the people and she is happy that the number of people who are now following her music has ballooned.

She says she now sings songs with substance and now that she has set the bar sky high, many are wondering where she will launch her next album.

Inevitably, debate is now raging as to whether Dorcas Moyo is now the queen of gospel music in the country today.

We carried that question in our edition of this newspaper yesterday and it has triggered a lot of debate.

We have a group of people who say that while Dorcas has done very well in her career it’s premature to bring her into a debate when it comes to gospel queens in this country.

They say that the gospel queen remains Amai Charamba and that exclusive group of queens also features the likes of Janet Manyowa and Shingisai Suluma.

They say Dorcas has not yet broken into that elite group and there is no need to drag her into that team.

It’s their argument and we should respect it.

Ours was just a question and it also means that we are not sure if Dorcas has now risen to the top of the tree among gospel musicians.

We believe it’s a credit to the great work that she has done that her name is now being mentioned among such top musicians.

She should just keep working hard because she is on the right path to greatness.
