ENDANGERED Dynamos cruised to their biggest win of the season and keep their survival hopes alive with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Division One bound, Kwekwe United in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Ascot in Gweru yesterday.
First half goals by Jairos Kasondo (4th) and Wisdom Mutasa (18th) and an injury time strike by substitute Ransom Chingwara (90th) sealed the points for Dynamos in what became their biggest win of the season.
The three goals moved Dynamos into double digits for goals scored in what has been a terrible season in front of goal. Having forfeited the match against FC Platinum on a 0-3 scoreline, yesterday’s scoreline also assisted Dynamos in their goal difference as the relegation battle for this season looks set to go to the final minute of the season.
Dynamos are second from bottom with 22 points from 25 matches and are now just six points from safety, a zone occupied by Yadah, CAPS United and Triangle who are all tied on 28 points from 25 matches.
There are 27 more points to play for, and the battle will also involve teams like Highlanders and Bikita Minerals, who are just two points above Greenfuel, the team occupying the final relegation slot with 27 points.
Yesterday’s win was also sweet for new coach, Kelvin Kaindu whose three matches in charge have all ended in victory with two of them in the Chibuku Super Cup.
