DYNAMOS Football Club has officially parted ways with head coach Genesis Mangombe and his technical team following a mutual separation agreement reached with the Sports and Recreation National Workers Union of Zimbabwe.
In a joint press statement issued on Tuesday, Dynamos and the union confirmed the immediate departure of Mangombe together with assistant coaches Newsome Mutema, Tonderai Marume and Britto Gwere.
The press release said both parties engaged each other in good faith and agreed to terminate their contractual relationship through a mutual separation and release agreement.
As part of the agreement, all allegations that had been levelled against the four coaches, including claims relating to match-fixing, the use of juju and insubordination, have been withdrawn.
“The suspensions previously issued against Genesis Mangombe, Newsome Mutema, Tonderai Marume and Britto Gwere were uplifted. Parties engaged and agreed to mutually terminate their contractual relationship,” reads part of the statement.
The agreement also clears the quartet to immediately take up coaching roles with clubs of their choice.
“Dynamos FC wishes them well in their future endeavours,” the club said.
The departure brings to an end weeks of uncertainty surrounding Mangombe and his technical team after they had been suspended amid a series of allegations that had cast a shadow over the Harare giants’ season.
Mangombe is rumoured to be on his way back to Triangle United.
