THE Minister Primary and Secondary Education Torerai Moyo is today (Thursday) expected to commission the new Globe and Phoenix Primary School in Kwekwe.

The school was decommissioned in 2023 after one of the classrooms collapsed due to illegal mining activities in the area.

The new school constructed at a cost of US$600 000, comprises seven classroom blocks, an administration block, and an ablution facility.

The new buildings also include special amenities to cater to learners with disabilities.

Projects at the new school were sponsored and provisioned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
