THERE was something special about Minister Ellard Cherayi and Eleana Makombe at the just-ended July Worship Music Festival held over the weekend at Belgravia Sports Club.
Hosted by Minister Michael Mahendere, the event attracted thousands of gospel lovers.
And, Eleana and Minister Ellard Cherayi stole the show with their A-game.
First was Eleana, who brought her elegance to the event, dressed in a gold-and-blue shimmering coat with a matching gold shoe, which caused a stir on social media.
The UK-based artist had a good run of 45 minutes, leaving fans clamouring for more.
Some fashionistas said they were shocked Eleana could be seen dancing while wearing a six-inch stiletto Jimmy Choo shoe.
United States songstress Beyonce wore a similar shoe at the recently-held Tidal’s Hurricane Benefit Concert.
“I love fashion and I make sure I leave a mark on stage,” said Eleana.
“It is all about Jesus. I bought the shoes and the coat somewhere around the world.
“I heard Zimbabwe is very cold at night but I chose a light coat.
“Thank you fans for your support. However, for the shoe’s cost, it is all about Jesus,” she said.
Minister Ellard Cherayi brought his energy and commanded the crowd during his performance.
Minister Ellard put on a spectacular show, giving fans value for their money.
In an interview backstage, Minister Ellard said:
“Gospel music is not about competition.
“Usually, it is my wife who steals the show as she is a crowd favourite but today I said to myself let me own the stage, ‘sababa.’
“I showed them how it is done. I commanded the show and I was happy and we thank God for the work,”
Minister Cherayi said he has a busy schedule ahead.
