Emakhandeni Neighbourhood Watch member shot during patrol dies

INFORMATION coming through is that an Emakhandeni neighbourhood watch committee member Godfrey Muzanenhamo, who was shot by an unknown assailant in the early hours of Friday has died.
Details of the shooting incident are still sketchy but sources said Muzanenhamo and his team were patrolling just after midnight when they came across a gang of men that had just emerged from a thicket.

They demanded to know where they were going at that time of the night and unprovoked, the now murder accused pulled a gun and shot him once in the head.
He was rushed to Mpilo Hospital and was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.

Muzanenhamo is father to Zimbabwe Netball team player Nicole, who was part of the Gems team that participated in the Netball World Cup Finals in England in 2023.
Mourners are gathered at house number 70220 New Lobhengula.
