ZIMDANCEHALl sensation Enzo Ishall remains steadfast in his vision, despite being one of the most sought-after entertainers in Zimbabwe.
Hailing from Mabvuku in Harare, Enzo’s journey has transformed into a remarkable success story, allowing him to perform at major corporate events—a dream that many musicians of his generation aspire to achieve.
Over the past three years, Enzo’s popularity has soared, even as some may overlook his talent. He ranks among the most active touring artists in Zimbabwe, winning the hearts of many both locally and internationally.
This year alone, the 31-year-old has graced numerous significant events, including the Castle Tankard Horse Race, the Bulawayo Shut Down Gig in April, the Black Label Pool Tournament, and the Zim Link Up Festival in the UK.
He is also part of the City2City Tour, which he initiated alongside Freeman, Master H, and Killer T.
On July 19, he is set to perform at the 2025 Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance after-party at Mutare Showgrounds, sharing the stage with superstars Jah Prayzah and Alick Macheso. Enzo’s performance will follow the traditional dance finals, where 10 groups will compete for a top prize of US$15000. Despite the star-studded line-up, all eyes will be on Enzo, who continues to be ranked among the top performers in Zimbabwe.
In an interview with H-Metro, Enzo expressed his gratitude for the significant endorsement deals he has received.
“I can see God’s grace because I never anticipated this to happen to me any time soon,” he remarked.
“The positive feedback we are receiving has kept us going. As an artist, I have been working hard and have invested a lot in my live band to ensure that we deliver quality music.”
Known for club anthems like “Kanjiva,” “Tiza,” and “Magate,” Enzo has consistently evolved as an artiste.
“I believe we have reached this stage due to hard work, focus, and dedication.
“I have performed at the Castle Tankard and Bulawayo on two occasions, and next week, we will be in Mutare, backed by my live band. This investment is paying off, and we intend to maintain that momentum,” he shared.
Currently, Enzo is relishing the City2City Tour, which was initially conceived as an experiment with Freeman, Master H, and Killer T.
He revealed that the tour has helped him connect with new fans.
Since its launch, the quartet has performed in several cities, including Masvingo, Bindura, Chinhoyi, and Mutare. Last month, they showcased their talent at the Harare International Conference Centre, backed by artists like Nisha Ts, Saintfloew, and Merciless Zimbabwe. Despite his success, Enzo remains focused on his career.
“I truly enjoy this City2City Tour because it has taken us places, and we have been touring with a band. Additionally, our series of shows with major corporations has significantly boosted our brand’s appeal,” Enzo emphasised.
The chanter started off his career in Mabvuku, before being signed by Chillspot Records in Mbare where he became an instant hit with the song “Kanjiva”.
He has never looked back since then despite him leaving the stable at some point.
Many of his foes thought he had made a mistake by leaving Chillspot Family, which has churned out several chanters bit he has been at the top.
After leaving the stable, he has also managed to produce a number of hits.
However, he is still in good standing with Chillspot Record co-producers DJ Fantan, Levels, and Ribhe.
In his own capacity, he has managed to build a stable empire, winning the hearts of many. A tried and tested performer, Enzo is undoubtedly one of Zimbabwe’s finest youthful entertainers who has been consistent.
